So instead, to keep you reading and interested... here are some photos of the school I work at!
>> So here is our sign (Holi's - we thing this means holidays, and pupil free days are equivalent to PA Days where the teachers go to staff development, and kids stay home)
>> This is the big quad. To the right is the office, and the two-story section at the far end is where the grade (year) 4,5 and 6 classrooms are. This is where Anne and I have recess duty three times a week :)
>> THIS, nope, sorry you're wrong. NOT the water fountain. Instead, it is the bubbler. True story, I thought it was a kindie thing to call it that, but turns out everyone does.
>> This is our area. To the left are two kindie classrooms. Straight ahead is a third kindie room.
On the right, pretty well outta view, are our classroom and another year 1 class. There are covered walkways everywhere, which they finished last year. This way when it rains, you can still walk anywhere in the school without getting wet! Very cool. A lot of the schools I have been to are planned like this one - open concept and spread out. They don't have AC and they don't need to worry about central heating, so it works for them :)>>And this is just outside our
classroom. I took this shot to show off our hooks and bench outside the door. All the classes have hooks for bags/jumpers (coats) and hats, so none of these things come inside. Again, the ease of being able to use the outdoors because there is no snow :) So that's it! Hope you enjoyed the tour! This is our last week teaching until June, so I will be taking some shots of our class to post up, since they're my favourite people in this whole country so far :) Specifically... well I won't play favourites out loud. But - there are a few who just make you giggle inside, they're too cute!
