SYDNEY!!

Wow - so this cafe is pricey, just stopped off here while I wait for Grant who is in his SECOND interview of the day with head hunters who place engineers :) Actually we were on the train here (Lisa and Jenn are with us too) and the first interviewer called on a whim to set something up. Grant says "oh , well we're just on a train to Sydney for the day"... well isn't this Nick character working out of Sydney? So it worked out perfectly and Grant spent the morning talking to him. This Nick has MANY contacts in our area for mech.eng jobs so we're hopeful and Grant said the meeting went well.

So here we are in Sydney! It only cost $16 AU to get here on a return ticket, and that includes train-hopping abilities in the city all day! We (the girls) spent the morning walking around shops (Rip Curl... how I could spend my life savings here) and looking through souvenir shops (did you know that digerydoos are like $325??) ouch. Anyways then as we were walking back to the train station we took a side street, and OH, isn't that the Opera house sneaking through behind a big cruise-yacht-boat. It was sooooo cool! And what's more, it's this feeling of accomplishment just making it to that point. Not that we were looking for the Opera House at the time, but it's sort of as though it encompasses everything we've travelled halfway (literally) around the world to see! Very cool moment and lots of photos there :)

Otherwise we're just bumming around here for the day. The weekend has been lots of beach time, and we were garage-saling saturday morning, thinking of mum, looking for a desk. Mom you would be so disappointed, nothing but wee little junk stuff and it was just not worth doing as far as we were concerned( on their part). I mean, definitely not Tobin-style that's for sure :p

Ok we love you! Jenn's friend from Laurier Erin is coming to the Gong tonight for a few days with her brother as they're travelling. Oh and PS. ladies - just walked through a Nine West store where shoes were ALL on for like $69! CRAZINESS cuz don't forget that includes taxes. What a steal, could be trouble, good thing i don't have my VISA with me. lol.

well we will write again tomorrow with photos. still waiting on getting the net at home. xoxoxoxo liz PS. Krista how are the plans for spring break coming? Laura and Steve- Happy Early Bdays!!!! cheers hunnies
