A delicious day...

So by now I'm sure you've all realized a few things. To recap:


1) We miss our friends who were here last time. We knew that coming down here would be weird because we were expecting the same experience - but we wouldn't be able to do that. However, there have been some prime moments where we know something's missing. One of those happened on Friday night.
Lyndsey is Canadian and came down to do her teaching degree - where we (Liz) met her. She met an Aussie and is getting married at the end of the month (yeah!) in Canada, then moving back to the Gong. Lyndsey and Joel are awesome fun, and invited us to hang out at a comedy show in Port Kembla Friday night. So we go to the club and realize it's where we had stone grill in 2007 with Joe and Liz. It was like Deja Vu! So that's where this photo was taken. Missing you two, but had just a hilarious night with Joel/Lyndsey's friends from here and the comedians were great!


2) Liz is cooking. A lot. With time on her hands these last two weeks, we've been trying out heaps of new things with our limited kitchen tools - which makes for some funny results. Like the smushed cookies today due to having one cookie sheet, so putting in the second round with two round cake pans :) hee hee. whatever they taste the same!
The story here is that today I finally made cookies to take to Grant's office. We went for lunch Friday last week with Andrew - who was here in 2007 - and it was decided that I would need to make something delicious for the boys' afternoon tea. Well I doubt the cookies made it that far, but today when I went to deliver them I met Dave, another coworker of Grant's, who had heard food was on it's way :) And Andrew referred to me as a "Super Wife" to which I responded that I had left my cape at home, but it was so nice of him to say!!


3) It's spring. Perhaps you hadn't noticed this one, but the weather is warming up and after walking to Grant's office at noon... I headed straight for the beach for a dip in the rock pools. This photo was from last weekend, but you get the idea. The water is freezing, but the sun was gorgeous today... and I went just in time because after drying off on the rocks (like a lizard... mmm it was wonderful!), my walk home was facing the oncoming clouds. Liz, 1. crummy weather, 0.

that's all for today. Oh -we rented the 2 end discs of season 1 How I Met Your Mother this week - hilarious! again... thinking of the grabowski's... honestly it's like we've spent too much time with you guys!!
